Före detta American Idol-deltagaren och countryartisten Kellie Pickler har rakat huvudet. Varför? För att stötta en vän som drabbats av bröstcancer.
Did you see where Kellie Pickler shaved her head to support a friend who’s battling breast cancer?
Pickler continues those efforts full force this month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with a fundraiser show Saturday night at the Hard Rock Cafe downtown.
She’s particularly excited about the show because her friend, Summer Holt Miller, says she’ll probably feel well enough to travel from North Carolina to attend.
Miller, 36, is a childhood friend who Pickler calls a “sister.” Miller, married with two children, has had a double mastectomy since getting her diagnosis this summer, and she continues to get chemo treatments.
“I’m so excited! I’m gonna send the bus up for her,” Pickler said. “I hope we’ll raise a bunch of awareness and have a great night. I’m glad we’re gonna be able to do this together.”
